FIRE & BURGLAR-PROOF STEEL SAFE
M/s. Kammar Udyog introduces two sub-categories under FBR safes:-
Cash Safes and Gold-Loan Safes, which are elegantly designed and fabricated in a view of the need to combat the ever-increasing threats. Essentially, FBR safes are designed and manufactured according to the Bureau of Indian Standards, I.e., IS:550. Consequently, these safes can be trusted against the risks of fire, massive attacks from the power-drills, oxy-acetylene flame, and plasma arc-cutters. FBR safes made in Kammar Udyog are economical, user-friendly, and accommodate both commercial establishments, and domestic purposes.

Construction and Workmanship
Body: The body is constructed with fully welded high-grade steel with a tough 16 bend construction at the corners that make the body an integral whole. The inner and the outer casings are again high-grade steel which renders high toughness to any form of attack. The overall body thickness of all five sides is over 90 mm stuffed with strong material that enhances resistance to withstand the abrupt external impacts.
Door: Generally, the door material is mild steel with a thickness of 12
mm, which is backed with high carbon steel, and further backed with a
heavy-duty barrier material to resist hammer-blows, power-drills,
oxy-acetylene flame, and plasma arc cutters. The doors in all the cases
are hung onto the strong pivots and well balanced to secure the facility
of movement. The overall thickness of the door ranges between 120
mm to 130 mm.
Shooting Bolts: The reckon of shooting bolts depends on the
size/category of the FBR safe. Bolts slide smoothly on turning the
handle and fit smoothly into the slots provided in the door frame.
Additionally, the interior locking system ensures special protection for
the shooting bolts on either side of the door frame to make it
impossible to dislodge the door by cutting and/or hammering the door
hinges.
Unpickable Locks: The bolt throwing mechanism is actuated by the
external handle, which is guided by an 'un-pickable 8-lever dual
controlled locking system'. Primarily, to access these locks, stainless
steel keys are provided.
Testing of Locks: In Kammar Udyog, locks ranging from 6- to 12-lever
are tested precisely for 20,000 operations in a standard machine
before they get assembled in the safes.
Combination Lock: Key-less numerical 3 or 4 wheel combination lock,
offers a choice of over one hundred thousand combinations for setting
and re-setting. We may extend the number of combinations based on
the customer's requirement.
Automatic Re-locking Device (Optional): Fundamentally, an automatic
re-locking device guards the locking system. This device is
meticulously designed and manufactured, which is fitted in the door
frame, triggers off when the lock is dislodged by an attack.
Fine Finish: Following processes are rigorously followed to ensure the
quality finishing of the safe body:
● Before painting, all the surfaces are shot blasted (abrasive
blasting) and treated chemically to make the surface rust-free.
● After washing the surfaces, the entire safe is given a successive
coating of high-quality epoxy primer.
● Lastly, the safe is painted with rich polyurethane paint to ensure
extra smoothness plus extra resistance against scratches.
